V3 clutch drag

Thanks Bill. I have a standard clutch complete and rebuilt except it needs new linings on the shoes. I put on the V3 because I thought it would need less playing with...... In less jest, I remember never getting the clutch on my first Rapide oil free and was forever taking it out to de-grease it. This was in the 70's and it was a common problem. I remember a lot of experimentation, modification and discussion about sealing the shaft. I did like it a lot because it mostly worked great.

We were playing with a Twin at Brother Rons the other day, Looking at the Standard Clutch, I am finding the same old thing, The shoe plungers, Not touching the C14 tubes, So with all that slack, They are never going to work good. Last time I cut down some old C15 Sleeve, To slide on the C14 s where they touch the C11 plunger. Cheers Bill.
