From David Bowen:

Tony Summerskill.JPG

Sad story the only photo I have seen of Tony Summerskill. He left college and started
his time at Vincent at 18 about six month before me. He was so bright he
was in the drawing office when I started. Coming to work on his Bigport AJS
was killed. At this time he had drawn up drawings for a four cylinder east
west OHV engine (for himself) which Ted Davis finished up having. I must,
when I go to UK this year go a see Ted's Daughter and see if she still has
them.

The photo I would say march 1948. Note about 20 bikes all lined up for road
test. You will note the bike Tony is pushing has the clutch cover of I would
say all these bikes were waiting for clutch parts so that why they are not
in the test House. At this time we were making about 25 bikes a week.
