Had that done years ago on mine, brakes work really well and are very progressive, no snatching

haha ive got an older brother of that lathe, my year of build, still going strong.

nowadays there are even "black" shadow mikunis on it........

For some reason a lathe is not ideal for machining a brake drum, not sure why.
There is an excellent machinist in Leicester called Bob Coley who has a brake drum skimming machine, and the facility to re-line brake shoes to fit the drum.
I can recommend his service to members in this area.
Whats the form giving out phone numbers on the forum?

Best way to stop personal contact information being broadcast to the world is to ask to be contacted by private message/conversation via the forum and then you can send the information back to interested parties by private message/conversation.
