Hi Ben.
The Rapide was sold on and subsequently rebuilt, the last I knew it was in Germany. As for how a Norvin rides compared to a Vincent I cannot say, for fear of being lynched/ex-communicated (and I'm not saying whether by Vincent OR Norton owners or possibly both)
No need for an hydraulic steering damper and no tank slapping on a Norvin? ;)

But I have one on my Special, just in case.
Is it a Norvin If it has Norton Forks ?.

Thanks Ben, Welcome,
Some of the Lads have fitted Discs on the Standard Girdraulic Forks,
But I did this back in 1975,
It's a road Bike, But I did a bit of Racing, Like a lot of us,
The VOC Had there own race days in the 60s 70s 80s,
We had 2 meetings a year at Cadwell Park, And 1 Twisty Sprint, Also an invite to Silverstone,
MCC High Speed trials, And Vintage Club.
Not a good Rider , Wanted better brakes and thought , Why not just fit Norton Forks.
Always playing, Still am !!, It's what I do.
Good Luck, Bill.
