Make a brass sleeve with the appropiate thread, which is 1/2" x 26tpi, whit form, sleeve bore with a .4" dia., turn back the dodgy thread and press or loctite sleeve in position.
I took that photograph in a stereomicroscope, with its glass stage illuminated from the bottom to project a magnified silhouette of the object, like a comparator. Although I have a goniometer eyepiece for it that lets me determine angles to 0.2°, showing the angles on a photograph of the silhouette was better than posting a table of measured values.
The distance between the gearbox on the brakedrum and the instrument is the same with mod. steering stem or standard.So what is the problem?Regards Erik
