no problems to find v-rings. Standard at bearing dealers or elsewhere. Two types available, one for plain shafts, one slim type for support at shoulders.The rings are all-NBR so you just pull them over the shaft to the required gap for sealing at a plain face next to it. On classics you often have the trouble in sealing magneto drives so the v-rings may be very useful, acting on smooth alu face inside the engine.
