Yes Bruce, wasn't thinking straight, for some reason my brain imagined it was pulling the bearing out of a housing ????????????????

It can do either or both, have just lent my identical puller to a local member to renew his thrust bearing on a twin, while another local member completely stripped his Comet to do the same job!
