Yes on some non directional tyres I think those arrows are a case of 'well its in the mould so lets leave it in it wont matter' plenty of examples of that sort of thinking about

Dont know where the Front bit came we were looking at which rear tyre would allow Vincent wheel reversal for sprocket choice without upsetting insurance inspectors or the police
