I here what you say but I think two of those linked burlen batterys were designed for a dying miller but met their match with a proper supply
I will get a more sustantial one for the spring (alternator & regulator checked out fine)

I agree that those batteries have a problem. The pair fitted to my Knight, with belt drive 2cv alternator and Lucas regulator, in 2001 now need replacing.

That's nothing - I had to replace a gearbox selector fork after only 30 years in service - what happened to Vincent quality, eh ??
