They have now MKII Avon 90/90 or for rear 100/90

and Dunlop same size (not to use with innertube, but whatever)

do they have a radial or diagonal casing or how do we call it.....

what would be the beter choice??

I know for one the Avon is very easy to put on, but they chup at the end...

Cheers U all

I have been very happy with the avons on my twin. The 90/90 on the front sharpens up the steering, 100/90 suits me better. Can't tell if radial or crossply, but pressures of 28 front, 32 rear rides just fine, wet or dry.

Since Erik suggested another brand, I put a Bridgestone front Spitfire 100/90 - 19 on the rear. For ordinary riding around, the thinner tread depth and “front “ designation doesn’t seem to be a problem. I believe @TouringComet mentioned this tire.

Yes, very happy with my Bridgestones on both ends of my Touring Comet, with 19" front and 18" rear rims. And I ran the exact same Bridgestone 19” on the rear of my Shadow.

Ich fahre Brigdestone Battlax .
Erik, Didn't you have a nice ribbed German tyre at one time,
I have always thought we should use a Ribbed tyre,
I remember the Old Red Arrows in the early 1980 s, Really made my bike ride nice.

On the Comet I have the Heidenau front and rear.Period looking but mondern roadholding. On my Commando and on the twin I have the Bridgestone Battlax. For fast cornering a real good tyre. And in wet conditions very reliable. Erik
