H: Hubs, Wheels and Tyres Front brake help please

The type of linings is important.......tried several types on my bike.......modern soft linings work ok but do not have so good a "bite" as harder linings.......only down side to hard linings is they tend to get noisy after a while.

After fitting the softer woven looking type linings with bits of brass etc in them my brakes have improved from the spongy ones I had a few weeks ago,
but !
I have taken good advice on the forum and ordered new 8" from Germany

When braking hard with 8 inch brakes you must remember to keep your mouth closed.
I forgot and my teeth flew out in front of me....

In future you must wear a full face helmet, this should retain them next time they fly out, I would imagine a full set of teeth would cost as much as the new 8" brakes !

Have you considered wire locking your teeth in place?

Wire reacts with fillings and can catch on your lips when braking hard, araldite is probably a better suggestion
