I have mentioned Alp before on the Forum for his bigger than life records. He ran at WOS this year and had a run a 177 MPH on his 650 pre unit Triumph with no fairing. He pushed the record up 50 MPH. His average speed was just over 173 MPH.

Bill Hoddinott is asking around for a twin motor, on behalf of someone else, to be used for a Bonneville project. Is Alp the guy Bill is referring to?

Depends on the sanctioning body. He runs in the Vintage classes, so probably not.

My bet is on Alp. When it comes to Bonneville racing he has invented a good amount of stuff. Like sitting sideways to minimize the frontal area, and much more. His records speak for themselves.

Far better off with new cases, they are way stronger than the originals around all the important area's, doesn't matter how or what you do to them because you are not changing an original engine.
