Yes Roger, Mine is only £87 plus 2 easy brackets,
There is another kit for about £125 done at the moment by one of our Forum Lad's,
May look better to some.
Thanks, will do that. But before that I have some other concerns, like taking the big step to buy the motorcycle that 'belongs' to the steering damper. Your bike looks like a real pleasure to ride with all the improvements.

Thanks Roger, It's the bike in my photo on the left,
I raced it for 7 years as a L/ning rep', Now with lights and an Alternator etc,
The engine still in race trim , So bit of a beast for an old man :) .

Please don't get the idea that a Vin with Girdraulics is a sure death trap. But I put a hydraulic damper on mine 20 years ago, following the tips here https://www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/resources/fitting-an-hydraulic-damper-to-a-comet.54/ and https://www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/resources/an-hydraulic-steering-damper-for-a-twin.64/

More info here: https://www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/resources/categories/1-1-forks-and-steering-dampers.32/

The Kawasaki damper is becoming more rare, but available here https://www.mandp.co.uk/products/kawasaki-style-steering-damper-510661

The type mounted under the steering head that Timetraveler uses is very good, too.

I assumed already it was the same bike, the polished fork did it. Nice history.

No, the fork wont scare me of. With all the experience already present here, it is an easy solution. Thanks for collecting the links.

I raced this for 5 years earlier !, Changing things every 6 months,

Now that is a radical rebuild. Never seen the cast wheels in a Vincent and all the other modifications. But I am still a novice.
