Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum thing, so here goes.
I have found in my father’s garage, a couple of unidentified Vincent bits, I have a barrel with a steel flange around the base, four stud, and I need to know what it is. Also a red painted frame with leading link forks and a modified series B RFM, any help would be appreciated.

The rear frame is something some did to use 2 spring/ damper units,
Like other 60/70s Bikes.
Don't know what those steel bits on the barrels are, Unless He was going to alter the stroke
Of the flywheels, ie Long Stroke ?.
Good Luck, Bill.

The first photo is a Vincent rear fork with the upper bits cut off. Can still see the remains of them at the front. Looks like the number had been ground off. It looks like it would have been mated to the rear section with the suspension units on. Possible all came off of a sidecar outfit.

My thoughts also, I might see if I can get the RFM rebuilt.

There is part of a second RFM in photo 2. It has been sawed through the rear lug, but it looks like the number might be there.

I suspect dad was given these parts when nobody wanted Vincent bits!?

Chris, Some of us have always wanted Vincent bits :D ,
Maybe not had the room or money, A lot of us on this Forum have had Vincents for 50 plus years !.
You would think we have got fed up with them by now, But there is just something about them.
The problem with repairing your rear frame, Is if the number is missing as Dave said,
Still worth something , But not as much as if it did.
Cheers Bill.

Funny, looks like you have some bits for 2 rear frames !!, The top rails have the bits for that the rear stand goes on, The 2 thin bits with big threaded holes ?.

This is what it should look like.
