Steve Hamel running at Bonneville

Steve missed getting his bike ready for the BUB event, but I see a post in the landracing.com forum that he is at the World of Speed event that is being held this week. So far, I see his best speed is 147 MPH. I don't know if Marty Dickerson is riding it or not. Best of luck to Steve, and Marty if he is riding. Results are available here.

Steve backed up his 147 MPH run with a 149, and now has another vintage 1,000cc unstreamlined gas record, at 148.511 MPH. The "World Of Speed" event is not actually put on by the SCTA, but I think it is considered to be an SCTA/BNI record. Congratulations, Steve!
