Here are some Google Chrome screenshots with red arrows to indicate where to click.
If you need more help please ask and I will start a new thread for "Help".

1. Google Chrome: Click the three vertical dots found at the top right-hand corner.

2. From the drop-down menu choose "Settings".

3. From the column on the left-hand side choose "Languages".

4. Click the bullets and sliders to blue to turn or change your language and spell-check your preferences.

I thought you said you were using Google Chrome not Microsoft Edge.

Ed , It says Chrome, Top left corner,
But going into what you said , It says import EDGE,
Don't worry, We know what it is now , If I change anything else , It could go BANG .

I steer clear of Microsoft if I can

A spell checker is built into Safari on a Mac.

It works throughout the OS.
