I have been told, several times, of a mod to the series D centre stand linkage, that stops the lever coming back so far that it traps the brake cable. unfortunately the idea didnt stick and as I am now in a position to carry out the mod, would somebody be so kind as to explain it to me again.

I promise to pay attention this time.

Jim. Know thy Beast. First edition p.65 gives the information about the mod to the centre stand.

It does work Jim, did mine last summer. You may want to reroute the other end of the cable to stop it twisting around the rear cowl peg. This i also done. John Cone P1000735.jpgP1000737.jpgP1000739.jpgP1000742.jpgP1000741.jpg
