Misc: Everything Else Series 'A' s this a Vincent part?

I found this stainless item in some parts I got at auction they are 95% B-C Vincent parts so far there is just this part I cannot place it looks so familiar the center thread is 1/4 BSF but I cant place it. my thoughts are it may be part of a sub assembly that normally is together. I know I have seen the damm thing somewhere.....
the far end you cant see is not flat it has two bevels its obviously a click click adjuster perhaps its a brake rod adjuster for an inferior motorcycle

I think it might be the turbo boost adjuster on the Black Widow.....

Not an A part but would agree it looks like a brake rod adjuster.

My guess is that it is a home made part intended to be used instead of a plain nut to hold the mag cowl in place.

I think it could be a hand nut for the battery rod I have similar on 2 A 500s
