Excuse my ignorance.
I have been re commissioning a Rapide that has a distributor modification. Looking at the points backplate I see the points placed at 180 deg apart.
The V twin is a 55 deg. Surely the points should be placed at 27.5 deg apart, or separated by 27.5 deg.
Originally a magneto, this uses one cam ring for both cylinders, is it a different magneto to say a BSA or Triumph?
Very puzzled.
