This early Rapide is ready for first start and is fitted with electric starter.
I have pumped oil into the crank, pumped oil into each rocker section , pumped oil into the upper feed going down to the pump.
Gearbox still needs fill.
What else should I do to oil this engine prior to start please.?

Planning on kickstarting until tune is good.

I installed a sloppy oil wet cotton element.
Should I lay the bike on right side, pull the the filter cap and fill with oil?
What is the method of filling filter chamber?

To be double sure - Fill all the orifices with oil , plugs out , set up on some rollers and run it in gear until the oil returns in the tank
Refit the plugs Fuel on Ignition on , Kick until Your heart is content
