I remember when the Severn rally used to be held at Slimbridge and there would be a skittles competition on the Saturday night. No-one could ever beat Wilf, he was always so good.

Wilf used to travel to Europe every year on his Vincent along with his travelling gang from North Wales which was Roy Jarvis, Fred Ferguson and Trevor Rowlands. Roy always said that Trevor, Fred and himself carried the bike spares and Wilf used them.
Wilf was one of our clubs real gentlemen, never said a bad word about anyone and nobody ever had a bad word to say about him. I had the pleasure of riding with Wilf in my 'A' Rapide days, never forgotten.
I'm fairly sure Wilf's bike was the one used when they issued the postage stamp featuring a Black Shadow. I met Wilf in 2005, at his local section Tuesday lunches, also visited him with Trevor Rowlands at his house.
I'll let Trevor know, he can show Roy.
Wilf Owens, the Owestry gem, you could be almost anywhere in the world and the sound of a Vin coming up the road would probably be him!
