oil loss at valve lifter

Hi Eric,
on Saturday I fitted the 2 rubber rings :
1) drank a can of Guiness ( This helps me allthough to improve my riding-style when necesarry - but only one ! )
2) cut the tin can off , rolled a pointed bag from it and boiled the two rubberrings hanging on a wire in the remaining can.
3) within 1-2 minutes, the rings ramained flexible and could be fixed over the pointed tin bag without problems. No grease.
Will try it out !
