Any Ideas for a VM 28 Mikuni replacement.
As they are rather unobtainable these days.

China? Hopefully they make a exact copy....

Cheers

Is there a strong reason why you want Mikunis ? Dellortos are easier to get, features look quite the same . I´d want spigot mounting carbs, but at 28 mm all are rubber mounted. See some links below, don´t worry about China types, all CNC produced. But yes, you may get two stroke jetted carbs with wrong slides , so look closely for indications of twostroke use. But then, they cost near to nothing. Plus look at air screws and slide stops for front carb, should be on left side there.

I have a bit of experience with them.
+tons of parts to tune them.
They are very nice to set up.
As you have 4 set points over the whole slide way.
And when coated black you dont even see m.
Thats enough reasons. VIC!

I am sure someone explained to me a few years ago, the 26mm and the 28mm are virtually identical, it just needs a clever person like yourself to bore the hole out a couple of mm bigger, that assumes that the 26mm are available to you.

As I remember it there were 3 body sizes, 26mm and below, 28 and 30 plus, the 28 body was dropped by Mikuni.
I believe the UK supplier Allen's? use 26mm bored out to 28mm
