Be careful with the Live wire,
If it catches anything = Dead short, Battery destroyed,
Yes, I think that's why the extra alloy brackets were made up.
Without the D stand there, the terminals could easily go uppermost. When at the bottom, there's hardly any clearance between these and the footrest plate.
Certainly not enough for the cable boots.

When I fitted a D stand (bought of course from The Spares Co.) to my C Rapide I moved the horn to the other side, as advised in the instructions that I recall came from Ron Kemp. Plenty of space and it looks fine too. You might want to think about trying that approach.

Yes I did briefly look at that.
There's a couple of holes in the plate the other side. It would probably need another FT175 spacer to clear the brake arm. I’ll leave it off for now as it’s taking a long time to figure out due to it’s depth and size. I’ll need to get the tank off to relocate the wiring.
I might fit an aftermarket one.
