The mists clear! It seems we were all correct, I did see a drawing of the mod to g66 but that was because the early sprag clutches were thicker now it's often the case that thinning of g66 is not required. in this last case 1 mm needed skimming off and then the pin needed truncating on the side to match the spring what was confusing is the general arrangement drawings shows g66 in its original modified state
