I recall seeing a photo of PCV standing next to his new wife Elfrida, - she was wearing light colour clothes.
All the others in the photo were in drab grey.
The photo may have been in a book or a web site.

Any ideas where?

There's a picture of Philip and Freda on their wedding day in 1953 on page 84 of his autobiography, "PCV".
