Egli engine in old frame

there is no Egli-engine, just Egli-frame and to day Egli-Godet-frame.
and yes it's possible to install a black shadow engine in an Egli-frame or Egli-Godet-frame

Some years ago Fritz Egli installed Vincent & Honda & Kawasaki engines in Egli-frame

thanx Michel for the information. But then wat are the engines in the Godet bikes and the HMR bikes ? Do they make their own engines?
also wat is the best way to have a modern engined classic looking black shadow.

Yes, they make their own engines from new parts made to be interchangeable with the original parts. The VOC built a new Black Shadow from all new parts from the VOC Spares Company and auctioned it off. See http://www.thevincentworkshop.co.uk/services.php and http://www.irvingvincent.com/

As far as modern engined classic looking black shadow , that is a matter of personal taste and I suspect many would say that it isn't likely. I do like my Buell XB12S, though!
