What a total pillock I am!
On top of all the problems I've had with too much compression, I've decided to go with compression plates so I removed rear cylinder to take to machinist as a pattern. I put it down on the very untidy workbench and went outside to do some husbandly chores I heard a crash and knew straight away what had happened.
The cylinder was on the concrete floor.
At first glance it looked ok but on measuring it the base of the liner is about 0.3mm oval.
Is this retrievable with some skilled machining or will I have to replace it?
In abject depression,
Bill
