Misc: Electrical (General) Cyclon Battery Repair

I went out on my Series 'B' Meteor earlier on, and ended up going down an enormous pothole that I didn't see in time.

The jolt snapped off the terminal on my Cyclon battery as shown here……

Has anyone attempted a repair on these things, or are they throw-away?

I think in a good dental laboratory they can Laser weld it .Erik

Does that look like corrosion had already attacked and maybe weakened the terminal Graham.

You should be able to clean that up and solder a tab on.

It is not clear from the picture but is that a brass insert in the plastic cover? If so then would it be possible to tap the apparent hole in the centre and fit a bolt into the hole. The bolt could then hold something to act as a terminal.

I would worry , Any heat put to a Battery would Blow it UP.
