EAR 236 (old Harry) was originally a standard Rapide, when Harry Cox bought it in1969 it had been used for racing with things changed to racing equipment ,, Webs light weight forks, racing mag with manual advance platform type, rear down-tube rap round S/`S oil tank, composition brake drums (aluminium back plate unpainted) with magnesium brake plates, 21" front and 20" rear with same brake and plates, very rusty two pipe exhaust system open piped. Fuel tank was a rusty BSA thing with gauges in the top. Many years ago looked for the advert in MPH that we got it from and have never found it !!!!! still looking on vacations as wanted to trace some history as a member of the family might still live there as the owner will be long gone. but the extent of the conversion was well done and it certainly went and was a lot faster than my 49 B Rapide, when I first rode it but Harry put a chair on it so he could ride it too. MY fun stopped. But John Waltham escorted Phil Irving around in it in the early 80;s and even a picture of Phil on it on front cover of MPH.
Thanks to bother Harvey it's also been around the world
