On my comet the friction plates are with cork inserts.Together with the bike came a small box with replacement inserts.Cork is a real good clutch material because it lives good with all kinds of lubrication.And if you have no replacement ones ,just empty some bottles of wine.Best chose a good one because they have better corks.Regards Erik
