Buying at Auction

The odd-looking Norvin (way too odd for my liking) was offered at Bonhams' Paris sale in February, and didn't move an inch. DL

Correction: To the outside world it did not move an inch-in the auction. like ducks on water most of the movment is not seen on the surface which is why the Bonhams estimate is so important.

Join the VOC. Check Floggers' Corner in MPH regularly. Check thevincent.com, but the same cautions apply as they do to auctions.
Cheers (and happy hunting)

Vibrac - well, it don't move that far. That's why it's up for auction again, surely?

No not in that instance but the difference between the auctions reserve (not met) and the sellers original requested reserve
(met) often gives space for maneuvers in the dark after the party (so to speak)

Is the owner of the Norvin for auction on the 28th a member? If so then he could do himself a favour by telling us more about the bike. My friend is very keen but a bit hesitant (understandably so) to bid too high due to the prior failure to sell and the "history" of the builder.
