Breather Modification

My twin was pumping 500ml of oil into the catch bottle every 100 miles probably because of poor ring seal.

After a similar successful modification on my TTR I made an oil tank breather using an old cap and fitted a non-return valve and some clear hose to watch what happened. I connected the two ends of the existing breather pipes to each other so that they breathed into the oil tank instead of the atmosphere. I'm happy to report that after a 100 mile ride last night only about 5ml of milky oil appeared in the clear pipe.

Cheers Bill
