This is hard to measure when assembled in the case of the top, if I understand what you want. The top head spindle is about 3/4 inch forward of headstock centre. The lower one is easy since the spindle passes through the FT232AS, (as some may have noticed to their dismay on assembly), so it is on centre.

The centreline zero measurement agrees with the other charted info while your top figure is marginally less than the only other figure I have for it.
I can see how it would be difficult to measure, even with Trev's equipment.

dont brampton top links come in longer ones for sidecar work???

Close but no cigar.

Series B Brampton forks top links for sidecar work [3 inch c-c] are SHORTER than standard solo links [3.375 inch c-c].
See Paul Richardson page 16 2nd edition 1960.
