Lost my plug.
Are these available as a part?
What is the thread?

It is a 6 mm rod, rod if I remember correctly, I went through my old Phillips screwdrivers and found a large screwdriver that was 6 mm. I cut it down so the handle sticks out. It makes it difficult to lose and also difficult to leave in place without spotting it. I put a metric Allen screw in so I could drill a hole for lock wiring in the Allen head. I don't remember the thread.

Thank you, I do have the 6mm rod.
It is the goofy straight slot tiny brass plug cap that I have lost.
Can't determine the thread either.

No, it is not M8 anymore or at least I could not use M8 std or fine.
it is a fine thread with a tiny brass straight slot plug.

I would not be happy waiting 5 weeks for a replacement plug from UK.
If the thread is known, most likely I can fab.
Thanks for help on this.

I emailed BTH for thread and Ross answered M7.
I am guessing that M7 is only supplied as M7x1.0

I built the B-TH for David Tompkins, so I don't have it to check. He changed to a crank-fired ignition, so he does not use the B-TH any longer.

I don't remember having any difficulty finding an Allen head to fit.

the early BTH used a socket head cap screw, the later BTH are using a brass straight slot thread section.
I just called Tom Healy and he can, lucky for me, supply this plug .

I can find 7mm hex bolts 30 miles away.
I can buy choices to cut off on eBay.
Thanks to all, my sloppyness is very frustrating.
I should have put my timing plug in a plastic bag.

I recommend Coventry spares for Vincent parts.
Cheers
