Could be a Scot Chain Oiler vacuum pipe. Ballance pipes should not be necessary as it's an indication that one lacks tuning abilities so my mate said,, and promptly removed mine that had been there for years with beautifully welded on stubs & 3/8" bore pipes. He then showed me how to tune my carbs, still not much good at it.
So mine I had improved in the sixties ! so my mate is wrong then, but I saw cars with twin-choke webbers and they had large bore casting between the manifolds !
Hi Nigel, I use an MZ lever as it's mounted using the centre screw, it just requires drilling and tapping the bars M6. I've had about 5 MZs over the years so I've got plenty of spares. Someone commented that the lever looked like it came off a lawnmower, must make it a good match for the Mikunis then! Cheers, Stu.
Well does not really work well as the distance is far for an inside 4 mm pipe.
So i use it to easy synchronize carbs.
As rear stub is hid behind battery.
Cheers
