I find a wee spell in the ultrasonic bath at around 40 degrees, for ten minutes, frees up the block they usually just fall out given a wee prod.

What spell do you use to loosen jet blocks? Asking for a friend.

Hi Tim, Why not bore them out. It's not difficult. Make yourself a dummy mounting that will hold the whole carb in the lathe on the screw holes and just very gently pass a boring bar through until the bores match. You can even bore out a 389 to 1 3/16inch this way. just clean it very carefully afterward and make sure the tiny bleed hole is clear. I have done quite a few over the years this way.

I remember Ron Kemp boring out his TT carb so I could have a go in fact I have a Mikuni adaptor that might just hold the carb body by the bolt holes

Some gentle heat and vibration seems to do the business.
If that fails call, H Potter he can poke them out with his wand.
