What Is This?

Anyone have an idea what this is off or what it is?.
Found it on the garage floor and it looks familiar but cannot for the life of me place it.
The hole is threaded but have not checked to see if imperial or metric.
Don't believe it is m/c related. For no particular reason I'm thinking is it off a chain saw or lathe, also thinking some part of an oil metering device: why??
This really is turning into one of those 'tip of your tongue' frustrations where I recognise it but can't quite place it.

Looks like the little pin that is used on a chainsaw to adjust the chain tension.

It's certainly not that Vibrac they are much more elaborate as I use to watch when I was a kid about 8 or 9 years old.
Leaning through one of the lower rungs of a five bar gate while father was on the top rung watching the bull serve the cow then walking away when all was done calling it a "proper job" and nodding the head !

Horse shoe removal tool?
It has the kind of sturdy, durable construction one wishes had been applied to the Vincent pushrod tube nut spanner.
(it all just comes back around to motorcycles).
