Thanks for the welcome! Yes I have a 1955 D series black shadow, already on the VOC register and confirmed by the Registrar. It's my first Vincent and first British bike after a riding/racing history mainly focussed around Hondas and Ducatis so it's a huge departure for me. I wanted a Shadow ever since seeing my first one as a teenager, many years ago. It's taken a long while to be able to purchase one but finally it's here.
I've invested in a set of imperial spanners and sockets and Quirk's Classics have serviced the bike and put right all of the obvious gremlins present when purchased so I really need to get out and ride it now!
Looking forward to the experience...and learning how the most beautiful engine ever built is put together.
