Not really 'new' news, as this was from 2020.

Damage can be seen in the combustion chamber, exhaust valve seat and guide. Welding was necessary to fix the cc and the guide hole had to be bored straight.

Alp Sungurtekin's new bronze guides do not use the lock rings. High lift cams can also be used with these guides. New seats installed, ready to cut.

So, is this old or new news? rebuilding my early C Shadow had a lot of alloy welding and machining. Basically NOT Series B and NOT really Series C. I do like the guides. Nearing completion and really looking forward to a ride after a two years from hell.

Interesting. It looks as if in the 6th photo down that the thickness of shoulder of the lower valve guide is the combined thickness of the normal shoulder plus the thickness the lock ring. I wonder if he uses the Walker Widget to insure the guide doesn't walk out or relies solely on the interference fit of the guide in the head?
