Al,
Air Canada class act used them twice to go from London to Canada.
Motofreight great company used them for trip to States.

Prices have trebled got a cost of around 3/4k to take bike to the International.
Shall just waste the 4k on beer and hookers the rest I will squander.
That sounds like your adapted version of a George Best quote Al.

That's why it's not good to use a wooden crate, or a crate at all.

I have shipped Canada to UK return 2X, Canada to Germany return, Canada to Perth Aus and back from Sydney, Canada to Melbourne one way and Canada to UK one way. Never been crated, always strapped into/onto airline supplied equipment. Canadian Airlines before they were bought by Air Canada, Air Canada several times, Cathay Pacific and a couple of time using an agent.
You pretty much always end up paying a small fee at the landing terminal to get the paperwork sorted. To fly a bike used to be about the same price as an extra passenger ticket. I haven't tried/priced since covid but I undersatnd, like everything else in the mad, mad, F'n new world the pricing has gone ballisticView attachment 59203View attachment 59204
As usual, Robert's not wrong. $3100 USD from Heathrow to Vancouver via Calgary and $2000 USD return from Vancouver to Heathrow: https://www.motorcycleexpress.com/2022ports-rates & https://form.jotform.com/motorcycleexpress/2023-rates-and-routes
