Yes, I got some Vertex, Scintilla and Ronco mags, incredible sparks, more than 1/2 " spun by fingers. It is a very close job, a bit of engine case machining, and the oil filter cap is a special with a threaded bush, very close to the machined clearance but allright. I modded the four cylinder mag cam for the 50 degree engine, no problem with sparks, clockwise and anticlockwise not much difference. But I will have two places in the mag cap for earthing the two extra sparks. Did not have success with only two lobes or taking out two steel shoes for only two sparks : You don´t get much of a spark at all like that, so it will fire four sparks per turn and two get earthed somehow in the cap. . . . . to be continued . . . .
