Misc: Electrical (General) Series 'A' Dip High/Low Switch

Does anyone know anywhere I can get hold of a high/low dip switch for my Series 'A' Single?

Obviously, it has 1" bars rather than 7/8".

I've sourced a 1" chrome horn button, but having spent the day looking round Kempton, sourcing the dip switch is proving tricky.

Would be grateful for any information.

If originality is what you are after then Paul Horton makes a very good replica of the original Miller dipswitch as used on Rudges and series A singles. They are not cheap but you cannot tell the difference from the originals. Its towards the bottom part number S76 but be careful he does 7/8" & 1".

he also sells the correct pre war Lucas type horn buttons that have the knurled edge of the push button.........For such a valuable bike, i dont think 100 pounds for an accurately made replica dip switch is expensive at all........not compared to the rapidly rising costs of all the post war bike parts.
