Interesting idea going to powder.
I found a supplier, albeit in 1 lb size for $47 USD from Crescent Bronze

I have been using House of Kolor RICH GOLD striping enamel in urethane on Norton's (black/gold), it is a very intense colour, brushing leaves brush marks, usually I found thinning and air brushing give a light thickness, full colour and clean edges. It is nice looking and if catalyzed does not need top be top coated.

For me, I want my Vincent to stand apart and the look of real gold is what I am thinking.

There are plastic striping masking tapes available, some with pull out centre, so setting a 1/4" wide symetrical line is easy. Not so good on tight curves. The standard crepe paper masking tape should not be used.

I have a H.R.D. tank that has not seen the light of day in probably 50 years. I’ll have a close look at it to see if it’s possibly original paint. I rather doubt it, but you never know. Be a few days until I can get to it.
Anyone know what colour primer was used originally?

I have just read Eddie Stevens on pin striping it's in mph 25 years on for may or June in essence he said gold leaf is the only proper way bronze powders tarnish and tape is a joke once again the original article will be on here somewhere
