Pete Steedman is an interesting bloke. He was a Member of Federal Parliament 1983-84, and made a speech where he criticized Australians for praising the designer of the America's Cup winning yacht, or its "winged keel", while ignoring the great practical world-wide achievements of Phil Irving. His Black Shadow is on the far right, with the high bars. It was very original otherwise except it had genuine Lightning solid axles instead of tommy bars. I think the bike far left is my Touring Rapide- the best bike I ever owned. Alf Wilson ran the pub at Tintaldra for many years with his wife Maija who was an operatic soprano. I think he's sitting on a Comet I built. Ken Jackson still has the Knight.
