At the Shadow Lake Rally. Bob is wearing one of the Vincent belt buckles made by Tom Andrus. One of the classic Bob Kountz tales was that he would ride his Vincents with the foot peg rubbers turned over, so that the lettering was the “wrong way”, to take the wear, then turn them over for the concours. One of the best restorers, he worked at Phil Hill’s auto restoration shop, worked on many Pebble Beach winners.
