Tyres and tyre pressures play an important part too. This can be complex and best left to later BUT always maintain at least 26 psi in the from wheel. Another important aspect is the greasing and adjustment of the forks. It is important that the bushes are well lubricated and the spindles are not too tight or too loose. Those chrome dust caps should just be able to be rotated without force; they should not be able to be moved from side to side at all!
