One of the bikes mentioned in the paragraph at the top of that page, Shadow 1B/9826, ended up in LA.
Edit - re-reading that page from Stop, now I see that the article is not saying that 1B/9826 was owned by someone in the Chicago section, it was mentioned as a possible match to something.
