I have to connect to a 12v H4 headlamp bulb it has 3 pins any 2 produce differing light light from a battery (dip or head or perhaps both?) but I have an idea there is a right way to connect earth dip and head leads and I do not have any pre formed 3 pin plug that could give me a clue so I just want to connect to the blades directly for the moment while testing.
this is the configuration |_| which is earth? common sense says its the middle one -but when did common sense have any sway in electrics??

Dont start pete :)
you work with what you have and I have a 1867 typewriter keyboard layout
I know I am not the fastest on electrics but I can turn it through 180
(you know I just knew the boffins would'nt make the middle tag earth, far to easy too much like a 3 pin plug perish the thought they might make it common sense)

Sorry. Pet hate is those people who wedge their bulb in the wrong way up then drive around dazzling everyone.
