G’day all,
Are there any instructions or guides to fitting the front mudguard regarding length of guard, where the center holes are in regard to the length and where the stays sit in relation to the center holes and the ends? I have always done it just by comparing it to other Vincent’s I have here. Is there a difference between Brampton’s and Girdraulics?

Thanks, Phelps.

The way I do it is to slide the guard over the tyre then put some packing between the two, I use a folded towel so there is just enough room to slide the fingers through the gap. Then "centre the guard so the rear is sitting about 2" below the magneto cowl. Then fasten the bracket to the balance beam. Done this with girdraulics and Bramptons. You want the stays to be at about 10 O'clock and 4 O'clock looking from primary side. The most important factor is the rear stay clears the cowl. I always drill the guard for the L bracket first. Not one of my favourite jobs.
